Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Collection Representative. As a Collection Representative, you will be responsible for managing and collecting outstanding balances. This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be required to attend eviction hearings on behalf of our owners. Experience in Property Management is preferred but not required.
Duties:
- Contact customers via phone, email, or mail to collect outstanding payments
- Review tenant accounts with past due balances to set up payment plans
- Utilize rental software to record and track collection activities
- Research and resolve billing discrepancies or disputes
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of collection efforts
- Attend court hearings on behalf of our owners
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Proven experience in collections, accounts receivable, or related field
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally
- Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
